Description

Nos 42 and 43 on Upper High Street is a single red brick building dating from around 1800. It has two storeys, plus attics and basements, and features a mansard roof with four dormers. The building is adorned with a cornice and parapet and has six windows, although the central window is blocked and features terra cotta panels. The windows are sash style with glazing bars. The doorways are round-headed with recessed arch-rings, traceried fanlights, and double doors. This building, along with Temple Methodist Church and Schools, forms a group.
