Description
Little Thatch and Number 2 Church Cottage, formerly known as Church House and Church Cottage, is a former school that has been converted into two cottages. It was built in 1811 and features local stone rough coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, a thatched roof, and brick end chimney stacks. Originally, it was a single-storey building with four bays, but floors have since been added. There is a lower matching extension on the west side. The outer windows are two-light pointed windows with Y-tracery and diamond leaded panes, while the inner windows are simple pointed windows located at a high level. In the center of the building, there is a quatrefoil panelled plaque inscribed with "J N 1811." The rear elevations have been significantly altered.
