Description

The arch immediately south west of Barwick House is a Grade II listed structure dating from around 1770. It was built for John and Grace Newman of Barwick House, located in Barwick Park. This rustic stone arch is semi-circular in shape and was formerly part of the approach to The Grotto, which is situated to the south west of Barwick Park. The approach was described as a "rocky ravine."
