Description

Little Barwick House is a house dating to circa 1820, with an early 20th-century extension. The house is rendered, with a Welsh slate roof between coped gables and rendered chimney stacks. It is three storeys high with a basement, and originally comprised three bays, with a two-storey, one-bay extension added on the north end. The main entrance has double part-glazed doors, margin panes, and a flat stone surround of Tuscan detail, approached by seven steep stone steps. The windows are 16-pane sashes, diminishing in height over the floors, with casements to the basement. The north extension has three-light margin sash windows in plain, segmented arched openings; the ground floor features an elaborate stone balcony with cast iron balustrade panels. A small single-storey extension is present to the south.
