Description

No. 42 on Fore Street is a shop built in the early to mid 19th century. It features painted Flemish-bond brickwork and painted stone stepped voussoirs above the upper floor windows. The roof is covered with double Roman tiles and has a brick stack on the right party wall. The building has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys tall with a two-window range. The upper floors have 20th-century 2/2-pane sash windows, and there is a 20th-century shop front. The interior was not inspected.
