Description
No. 30 Fore Street is a shop with a dwelling that dates from the early to mid-18th century and was remodeled in the mid-19th century. The building features stucco over brick, with painted stone coping on the parapet, architraves, and cills, topped by a steeply-pitched slate roof. It has a double-depth plan with rear extensions and stands three storeys tall with a two-window range. The windows are plate-glass sash types with margin panes, set within flat arches that have raised surrounds and bracketed cills. The second floor includes a similar blind panel in the center. The first-floor windows are taller and feature segmental arches, with a similar blank panel in the center that has brackets with clocks on either side. The shop front was updated in the 20th century. The interior has not been inspected.
