Description
10 Queen Street is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of painted brick with stone cills and has a pantile roof. The building has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys high, featuring a three-window range. The windows are 20th-century horned 6/6-pane sash windows set in forward frames. There are four windows on the second floor at eaves level with a brick cill band, three on the first floor with a cill band, and two on the ground floor that have gauged segmental arches. To the left of the building is a reconstructed brick section that houses a six-panel door beneath a segmental arch. On the right, there is a Tuscan-style doorcase with an open pediment and a complete ornamental fanlight above a 20th-century planked door. In the centre, there is a late 19th-century cast-iron door scraper set into the wall to the left of a former door. The interior has not been inspected.
