12/117 Thomas Cole chest tomb, in churchyard about 16 metres South of porch, Church of St Vary

GV II

Chest tomb. Mid C18. Conglomerate top, Ham stone with blue lias. Ledger topped, apsidal ends, cyma recta moulded cornice, chamfered plinth. Bowed East and West ends with recessed oval-panels, inscription on South face illegible, North face to Thomas Cole died 1754. In poor condition at time of survey (March 1984) with central section of frieze missing. (Photograph in NMR).
