Range Of Farmbuildings Bounding East Side Of Farmyard At Moortown Farm

This is a range of single-storeyed farm buildings located on the east side of the farmyard at Moortown Farm, dating from the late 18th century. Originally part of the former Burton Pynsent estate in Curry Rivel parish, the buildings are constructed of Flemish bond brick with tile roofs. On the left side, there are five small window openings positioned high up, along with three doorways—two wide and one narrow—each featuring plank doors. There is a throughway to the center of the range. At the rear, a cattle-shelter encloses an L-shaped yard, with the roof supported by circular Ham stone columns. This range is part of an important group of 18th-century farm buildings surrounding a barton.
