Description
This is a range of farm buildings forming a farmyard to the east of Moorstone Barton, dating from the mid to late 19th century. The structures are constructed from cob, plastered on stone footings, along with random rubble sandstone and volcanic trap. They feature hipped and gabled-end slate roofs. The most significant building in the group is the two-storey granary and barn located to the north. It has hipped roofs that extend as a catslide over a central double door hayloft, with 19th-century doors. The ground floor has an arcade of three round-headed arches, with brick voussoirs. There are also nesting holes or bee-boles located under the eaves. The other buildings in the range, particularly the entrance range to the east, add to the overall character of the group.
