Description
The gate piers, gates, steps, and garden walling to Swell Court Farmhouse date from the 18th century. The garden wall at the front is made of coursed and squared low lias stone, featuring a set-off and coping. In front of the main entrance to the house, there are a pair of tall square piers made of Ham stone, which have moulded caps and ball finials. The paired wrought-iron gates are accompanied by steps leading up to the entrance. The forecourt wall extends to the roadside in a similar style and is ramped up in four sections. There is an additional section of wall that returns along the rear of the garden towards Swell Court.
