Description

This building is a house and shop located to the east of Old Brewery House, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from local lias stone that is cut and squared, and it features a clay pantiled roof supported by abutments, with brick chimney stacks at either end. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The upper storey contains sash windows with 16 panes, while the lower storey has late 20th century 12-pane bowed windows in the outer bays, set in earlier openings. The central doorway has been renewed, with a deep recess created for a 20th century glazed door and side windows. The interior has not been seen. This house is part of a varied row of buildings that contribute to the streetscape's overall character.
