Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard, 6 metres west of the tower of the Church of St Peter and St Paul. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of Ham stone. The tomb features a moulded plinth and panelled faces with reverse curves at the corners. It has pilasters on the flanks that are topped with a skull and hourglass design, and a thin moulded hipped top. The tomb commemorates Robert B---, who died around 1791, although the inscription is almost completely worn away.
