Description

No. 48 South Road is a mid-19th century house featuring a gabled range that runs parallel to the street, along with a second range at the rear. The front is roughcast and the house stands two storeys tall. It has tile roofs adorned with ridge cresting. The bargeboards display pierced decoration that continues along the eaves. There are three windows on the front, with one window space on the first floor that has been blocked. The windows are sash style and include glazing bars. The entrance is located under a trellis porch to the right, while a larger porch with pierced bargeboards wraps around the corner on the left.
