Description
Meadow Bank is an 18th-century cottage situated on the corner of South Road and Calway Road. It is a two-storey building with a gable end projecting to the right. Later alterations have been made. The roof is covered in patterned tiles. The gable end features pierced bargeboards. The front facade has three windows. Upper-floor windows are two-light wooden casements, while the ground floor windows are sash windows with glazing bars. A porch is located to the left and is flanked by two small three-light bays. A tiled verandah roof, supported by trelliswork, covers these bays. The porch roof, also with pierced bargeboards, rises through the verandah roof and is topped with a wooden finial. A shield is positioned above the ogee-headed doorway.
