Description
No. 4 Duke Street is an early 19th-century front attached to an older house. It is two storeys high with attics and features a three-window range on the first floor, along with three flat-roofed dormers. The entrance has a corner doorcase supported by pilasters and topped with a dentilled cornice. All windows are sash hung, with the first-floor windows having margin lights and the dormers featuring small panes. The building has a gambrel roof made of clay tile and slate. The walls are plastered, with the lower half rusticated, and there is a plaster cornice and string course that forms a parapet. The rear of the building is also plastered and has a tiled roof, two dormers, and various sash windows.
