Description
This barn, located about 12 metres west of Knapp Farmhouse, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble made of Ham stone, with ashlar dressings, and features a hipped roof made of corrugated asbestos cement sheets at the south end, while the north end has a coped gable. The barn is partly two storeys and consists of four bays, with both ends obscured by lean-to buildings that have Welsh slate roofs. In the second bay, there is a keystoned elliptical arched doorway flanked by two plain shuttered windows, and above it, a plain loft door. The third bay has a taller and wider keystoned elliptical archway. This barn holds particular group value with Knapp Farmhouse.
