Description

This barn, located 40 meters southeast of Knapps Farm House, dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a half-hipped stone slate roof. The barn consists of three bays, with a central cart entry that is flanked by tall vent slits and square vent holes. There are modern lean-to extensions with corrugated asbestos roofs on the yard side, which are not considered to have special architectural interest. Inside, the barn has a double butt purlin roof supported by tie-beam and collar trusses, with small raking struts to the principals. The barn is included for its group value.
