Description
Church View House, located at No 27 and No 27a on the North Side of High Street, is probably from the mid-19th century. It is a three-storey building with an ashlar front, featuring a cornice and parapet. Plain pilasters flank the front, and there are string courses present. The facade has two windows with architrave surrounds, and the sashes do not have glazing bars. The ground floor includes three round-headed arches with roll-mouldings, with a lower opening in the centre for a doorway that has a three-quarter glazed round-headed door. The property, including Church View House, extends to the rear along the east side of the churchyard and is two storeys high with five windows and a variety of glazing. The listed buildings from No 25 to No 31 on the North side form an important group with No 2 Church Lane.
