Description

No 48 on High Street is a building that likely dates from the 17th century or earlier. It has two storeys and features a colourwashed stone front, although much of it has been replaced with brick. The stone copings on the gable ends suggest that the roof originally had a steeper pitch. The roof is covered with pantiles, and there is an eaves cornice. The building has a small shop front with a moulded cornice above and glazing bars. On the upper floor, there are three sash windows with closely set glazing bars. Nos 46 and 48 together form a group.
