Description

Nos 38 and 40 on High Street are likely from the early 18th century, featuring later details. The building consists of one structure with two stories and two-window brick fronts that have been painted. It has a parapet and a pantile roof, along with two 19th-century dormers that have bargeboards and finials, with casements that have semi-circular heads. The main front includes sashes with keystones in moulded reveals, and only No 40 has glazing bars. The shop fronts are modern. This building, along with Flats 1, 2, and 3 King Arthur's Court and Nos 38 to 42 (even) High Street, forms a group.
