Description
The Richard James monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 3 metres south of the porch of the Church of the Holy Trinity. It is dated to the 17th century and commemorates Richard James. The monument is made of dressed stone and features a plain oblong chest resting on a massive chamfered plinth. The chest is constructed from four slabs and has a hipped slab top that is moulded around the lower edge. Inscriptions can be found on all sides of the tomb.
