Description
The Old Rectory is a house that was originally built as a rectory in the early 19th century. The exterior is rendered, with some areas stripped back to reveal the rubble core, especially on the front. It has concrete tile roofs and features rendered brick and ashlar stacks, some of which are truncated, along with coped verges. The building has an irregular plan and stands two storeys tall, with a three-bay entrance elevation. The sash windows are set in plain stone architrave surrounds and include glazing bars and bracketed sills. The ground floor has tripartite windows that are adorned with cornices on brackets. A central gabled stone porch features an arched fanlight and paired panelled doors. The interior includes features that are contemporary with the building's construction.
