Description

This is a 14th-century roadside cross located on the west side of Castle Lane in Fenny Castle, Wookey. It is made of dressed stone and features a Calvary with four square steps, although the lower step is partially buried. The cross has a square socket with an octagonal upper face and broad convex broaches. The base of the square shaft is truncated, and the remainder of the shaft and the head are missing. This cross is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument (Somerset County No 421).
