Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard about 6 meters southeast of the chancel of the Church of St Thomas of Canterbury. It dates from the early 17th century and is made of Doulting stone. The base and parts of the sides are buried. The tomb features semi-circular arched panels, with two panels on each side and one on each end. It has a very deep frieze adorned with classical moulding and scrollwork decoration, and a deep cyma-recta coving leading to a heavy hipped top. There is no discernible inscription.
