Description
This milestone, located 27 metres east of Egford Hill Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century. It consists of a low, rough-hewn stone pier with a cast iron plate on the south side that reads "FROME 1, WELLS 14". This milestone is part of the Frome and Wells Turnpike.
