Description
Egford Hill Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed from coursed and squared rubble, topped with a triple-Roman tile roof and featuring two brick and one rubble ridge stacks. The building has a rectangular plan and stands two storeys tall, with a layout of one bay on the left and two bays on the right. It includes three-light ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned windows, with the ground floor windows being slightly taller and set beneath stopped labels. The entrance is located between the second and third bays, featuring a plank door and a 19th-century gabled rubble porch with a semi-circular head outer opening. There are pent roofed outshuts on both the left and right sides, with a door opening to the right outshut, which also has a plank door. In front of the farmhouse, there is a rubble wall approximately one and a half metres high that encloses the forecourt.
