Description

No. 16 West Lane is a house dating from 1638, as indicated by a datestone, although it has been significantly altered over the years. The building is constructed from white-washed coursed rubble and features a stone slate roof with three chimneys. The left-hand gable has coping and kneelers. It stands two storeys high. Most of the windows are from the 19th century and have modern casements, but there are chamfered single lights on either side of the chamfered doorway. The lintel of the doorway is inscribed with "T 1638 B". This house is listed for its group value only.
