Description
The Old Manor House, part of a house dating from the early 17th century, is constructed of squared rubble with a stone slate roof and features quoins. The front facing the street has one window on each of the two storeys. The ground floor window is a 7-light double chamfered stone mullion window, while the first floor has a 4-light chamfered stone mullion window. The gable end includes a small round-headed light on the first floor and an enclosed stone porch with a stone gutter to the left. Inside the porch is a carved label stop featuring the letter R. At the rear, there are two double chamfered stone mullion windows with 3 and 2 lights, along with an 18th-century 2-light recessed square mullion window. The house has two chimneys. Inside, the main room boasts a large segmental fireplace and stop-chamfered beams. One door features arched panels and scored rails typical of the early 17th century. The staircase has an open string, turned balusters, and a plain rail and newel. Upstairs, there are two doors with raised and fielded panels.
