Description

Nos 3 and 5 Elm Road is a former farmhouse, likely built in the late 17th century or early 18th century, which has been converted into two houses. The building is constructed of dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. It has two storeys and three bays. The ground floor includes double chamfered stone mullion windows with one, two, and two lights, while the first floor has two 2-light windows and an unmoulded single-light window above. The ground floor windows are adorned with hoodmoulds, one of which extends over one of the doorways. The rear of the building has been altered, with later wings added. No 3 is noted to bear the date 1633.
