Description
Havenhands Bakers and D M Murdoch's house is a pair of houses dating from the early to mid-19th century. They are built from pinkish-brown local brick and feature dentilled eaves and a hip-ended pantile roof. The Havenhands side has three bays and includes a small shop window with a wooden surround to the right of the central entrance. D M Murdoch's house has two bays, with a central entrance that features a six-panel door and an oblong fanlight. Both houses have sash windows with glazing bars set in flush wood architraves, except for the modern casements on the second floor of Havenhands. The windows on Havenhands have flat gauged brick arches, while the others are painted.
