Premises Of Knight, Frank And Rutley, And Carousel

The premises of Knight, Frank and Rutley, and Carousel are business premises and a shop dating from the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed of pinkish-brown brick and feature a wooden modillion eaves cornice and a Welsh slate roof with end chimneys. The building has three tall storeys and four bays. The section for Knight, Frank and Rutley on the right includes a stucco doorcase with attached Tuscan columns and an entablature, a six-panel door, and a decorated fanlight. There is also a later 19th-century canted bay with a modillion cornice and a sash window. The area is enclosed with railings. The Carousel section has an early 20th-century shop front. On the upper floors, there are sash windows with glazing bars, which are unequally hung on the second floor, and channelled stuccoed lintels and cills.
