Description
The Black Bull is a public house that likely dates back to the 17th century but has undergone significant alterations in the 18th century and later. The building is rendered and features a swept Welsh slate roof, with Victorian bargeboards on the gables of the south side. It stands two storeys high and has two bays. The entrance consists of a low central wooden door flanked by pilasters. To the right, there is a two-storey canted bay, while to the left, there is a single-storey canted bay. The windows are modern casements. Inside, there is one stout chamfered ceiling beam and a chamfered fireplace beam. The building is included partly for its group value within the Square.
