Description
The Tuck Shop is a cottage and shop located at 22 St James Square in Boroughbridge, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of rendered brick and features a pantile roof with a ridge chimney. It stands two storeys high and has two bays. The shop front includes an early 19th-century square window with glazing bars, flanked by reeded pilasters. The central entrance has a half-glazed 20th-century door. To the right of the door and above it, there are sash windows with glazing bars set within flush wood architraves. The building contributes to the group value within the square.
