Description
The outbuilding at Newton Grange Farm, located 30 meters northeast of the farmhouse, is a former cart shed that may be a remnant of the earlier farmhouse from the 17th century. It is constructed of rubble and features a stone slate roof. The building is arranged in an L shape with three rooms. The southern room has a small blocked basket-headed light in its gable and a triangular-headed chamfered doorway. This room connects at its corner to another room that contains a 4-light double chamfered mullion window with a hoodmould, which is now blocked. Inside, there are substantial ceiling bars and a trace of moulded plaster that resembles a pomegranate. The third room, which is attached, includes a columbarium in its gable.
