Description
Liverpool House is a former pair of houses that has been converted into a guest house. It dates from around the 1760s and underwent alterations in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of watershot masonry with stone dressings and features a stone slate roof. It stands three storeys high and has four bays.
There are three steps leading up to two entrances, which have plain surrounds and hoods, and both doors are five-panel designs. To the right, there is an entrance to a yard at ground level, featuring a chamfered lintel and a six-panel door, although the lower two panels are now boarded up.
All windows on the building have plain surrounds, projecting sills, and 16-pane sash designs. There are two windows on the ground floor and four on both the first and second floors, except for the second bay of the first floor, which has sashes with glazing bars. The eaves are adorned with modillions, and there are gable end and centre ridge stacks.
