Description
Cragdale Lodge, formerly a police station, dates from around 1830. It is built of ashlar stone and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features five bays. The central entrance is flanked by two pairs of Tuscan pilasters, with a rectangular light between each pair to illuminate the hall. These pilasters rest on a sill band and support an open pediment. The entrance consists of a six-panel door topped by a round-headed fanlight. All windows are sash windows and have a continuous sill band. The central window on the first floor is tripartite. The building has an eaves cornice and gable end stacks.
