Description

This is a 19th-century milepost located approximately 150 metres north of Huby crossroads. It is made of cast iron and gritstone, featuring a triangular shape with a rounded head and standing about 80 centimetres high. The inscriptions on the milepost include "Dudleyhill Killinghall and Harrogate Road, Weeton" on the head, "Harrogate 5½ miles" on the left face, and "Bradford 13 miles" on the right face. The milepost is secured to its stone support with two iron bolts that pass through the face.
