Description

This is a 19th-century milepost located opposite the entrance to Riffa Farm in Leathley. It is made of cast iron and gritstone, featuring a triangular shape with a rounded head, standing approximately 80 centimetres high. The inscriptions on the milepost include "Dudleyhill Killinghall and Harrogate Road Leathley" on the head, "Bradford 11 miles" on the left face, and "Harrogate 7½ miles" on the right face. The iron plate is secured to the stone support with two bolts.
