Description
Manor Cottage is an early 19th-century house constructed from coursed squared sandstone, featuring quoins and a slate roof. It has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with three symmetrical bays. The building includes sill-bands on both floors, a central doorway, and a vertical-rectangular window above it on the first floor, flanked by two-storey bows with tripartite windows. All these openings have plain surrounds, although they were boarded up at the time of the survey. The gable chimneys are corniced, and the gable copings are present. The rear of the house has vertical-rectangular openings with plain surrounds, including a stair window, all similarly boarded. The interior was not inspected as the house was unoccupied during the survey in 1986.
