Description
Penndene is a house built in the early 19th century. It features coursed squared sandstone with an ashlar facade and a slate roof. The building has a double-depth plan and is two storeys high with three symmetrical bays. There is a sill-band at the first floor level. The central doorway has fluted jambs and head, a three-pane overlight, and a moulded cornice. Above the doorway is a 12-pane sash window, with two larger vertical-rectangular windows on each floor. The ground floor windows have raised sills and all windows feature wedge lintels. The window to the right on the first floor has a 16-pane sash, while the others have been altered but still retain glazing bars. The house has gable chimneys and gable copings with kneelers.
