Description
This is a 19th-century milepost located approximately 350 metres west of the junction with Harrogate Road in Leathley. It is made of cast iron and gritstone, featuring a triangular shape with a rounded head and standing about 80 centimetres high. The inscriptions on the head read 'Dudleyhill Killinghall and Harrogate road Leathley'. The left face indicates 'Killinghall 9½ miles', while the right face shows 'Bradford 11 miles'. Two iron bolts secure the iron plate to the gritstone support.
