Description
Nos 24 and 26 on High Street are two houses built in the mid-18th century. They are constructed of coursed rubble with a concrete interlocking tile roof and stand two storeys high, featuring three first-floor windows. Below the second first-floor window and to the right, there are doors with two vertical panels; the left door is set in a quoined ashlar surround, with the right-hand jamb extending up as a straight joint. The central first-floor window is blind and consists of two lights. The other windows are four-pane sashes, with the left window having flat arches above it. There is a rebuilt brick chimney stack at the left end and another rebuilt stack in the center of the ridge between the two houses.
