Description

Nos 16 and 18 High Street are a pair of cottages dating from the early to mid-18th century. They are constructed with roughcast rendering and have a pantile roof with stone slates at the eaves. The cottages are two storeys high, with two windows on the first floor of each bay. To the left of each bay is a wooden front door. The ground floor features 16-pane sash windows. The first floor has 12-pane sash windows, which are unequally hung. An ashlar coping is present on the right-hand side. Brick stacks are located at the centre of the ridge and at the right end of the building. A further stack protrudes from the rear eaves of No 16. The right return (of No 16) has a small window on the ground floor.
