Description

This is a milepost located on the parish boundary at Scots Dike, dating from the late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular shape. The left face displays the inscription "RICHMOND H. D.", the right face reads "RICHMOND BORO", and the top also states "RICHMOND H. D.". This milepost was installed after the Highways Act of 1888.
