Description

Number 20 is a house that was originally two cottages, dating from the mid to late 18th century. It features rubble stone construction with 20th-century pantile roofs and stone slates at the eaves. The house is two storeys high and has three bays, with quoins on the left side. The central entrance has a part-glazed 20th-century door set in an ashlar surround with bases. The windows are 20th-century 16-pane sashes, also with ashlar projecting sills and deep lintels. There is a blocked doorway to the left of the entrance. The left side has a shaped kneeler, ashlar coping, and an end stack.

Attached to the left of the house is a single-storey outbuilding, which may have originally been two cottages. This outbuilding has an enlarged doorway with quoins on the right side and a board sliding door, along with a board door in a quoined surround to the right. Each side has a blocked window opening, and there is a chimney at the left end. Further to the left, there is a brick lean-to addition, which is not of special interest.
