Description

This is a mid-to-late 18th-century house, one of a small, irregular row along Kirkby Lane. The exterior is of carefully laid, herringbone-patterned sandstone, with a pantiled roof featuring a stone ridge and chimney stacks. The property is two storeys high and one bay wide. A top-glazed six-panel door, protected by an extended, keyed lintel, is located on the right-hand side. Three-light Yorkshire sash windows with cills are present, with the ground-floor window also beneath a similar lintel. The end stacks are stepped, have a decorative cornice band, and the left-hand stack is shared with the adjacent property.
