Description

These outbuildings, located approximately 5 metres north of The Hill, were constructed around 1860 by William Butterfield for Viscount Downe of Baldersby Park. They are built from red brick in English bond with blue brick diapering and banding, topped with a tile roof. The structure is one and a half storeys tall and consists of three bays. From left to right, there is an entrance featuring a 6-panel door with a plain surround and a segmental relieving arch, followed by a 4-pane sash window with a stone sill. There is also a slightly projecting bay that contains a ventilator window and boarded double doors leading to a hay-loft above, which is topped with a half-hipped gable. Originally, these buildings served as the offices and stables for the Baldersby Park Estate Agent.
