Description

Weddels Cottage is a house dating from probably the late 18th century. It’s constructed of pale brown local brick with red brick detailing. The roof is covered in French tiles with a raised verge and a kneeler on the right side. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance features a door and surround dating from around 1970. Modern casement windows are set within gauged, flat red brick arches. A three-course band runs along the first floor, and the eaves are stepped and dentilled. There is tumbled-in brickwork and visible iron ties on the gable end. The building is listed partly for its group value.
