Description
Chandlers is a house built in the early to mid-19th century, with the right bay being a slightly later addition. It is constructed from red-brown local brick and features a pantile roof with stone coping and kneelers, along with end chimneys. The house has two storeys and four bays, originally designed with a symmetrical facade that includes a central entrance. The entrance features a four-panel door topped by an oblong fanlight, all set within a stucco doorcase supported by pilasters and a modillion hood. The windows are sash style, adorned with gauged flat brick arches. The eaves are stepped and cogged. In front of the house, there is a later 19th-century railed forecourt, which consists of a dwarf brick wall with stone coping that supports cast iron railings topped with fleur-de-lys finials.
